Due to some inevitable reasons I am going to format my C: drive and re-install everything.
I am using Creative Soudblaster PnP sound card drivers. The problem is that I don't have the copy of these drivers. Is there a way to backup the already installed drivers and use them after a clean install???

Thanks Bryan! for the link. I have an idea, not sure whether it works or not.
All of the drivers information is contained by the INF directory in Windows folder(from where windows takes the software to install PnP devices.)
What about backing up C:\Windows\INF and putting it back into place after making a clean install. Would Windows be happy to install the drivers from that INF directory or ....???

No, because all those INF files is that directory don't include the drivers. With that program, it looks through the INF files, and includes them in the backup to your selected destination (which shouldn't be in the Windows partition, of course). Just click on your sound card when it shows up in the list, and choose to back that up only, since you have the other drivers.

I haven't used this program to try it out yet, but if Fred Langa did, then I'm almost certain you should be okay.

Good luck!
