Backplate alignment issue

Bought an EKWB P360 and I'm using Intel 1150. When I try to install the Intel backplate it won't align properly, out of curiosity I tried the AMD backplate which lined up correctly. Would it be safe to use the amd backplate instead?

There is a reason the kit came bundled with a backplate for AMD and for Intel. Provided we're dealing with an Intel LGA 115x platform, have you made sure the bottom of the motherboard's retention mechanism isn't conflicting with the backplate's orientation?

Just so we're all on the same page, please pass on your full system's specs.

Managed to solve the problem, EK had labeled the back plates incorrectly (had Intel listed as AMD and vice versa) :/
