Question Backplate for msi x470 gaming plus

Hi guys,

Please can somebody help me.

I’ve just realised that my motherboard doesn’t have a backplate, is there any specific one I need to buy to install my dark rock pro 4 cooler.

The Dark Rock Pro 4 will come with the backplate needed to install the cooler onto the motherboard.

Stock coolers for standard mainstream motherboards didn't require a backplate, they have snap in pins, and aftermarket cpu coolers are so varied in mounting systems that they include any and all hardware to fully mount their cooler on any motherboard.

So your new cooler will be all set, just follow the directions and use the specific hardware necessary for your type of motherboard. There will be extra parts for other types.
