Backup and Restore - no backup device

Backup doesn't work. It appears to have no associated drives. In the past, and currently, I use a USB device that I believe was z: Now it connects as f: I reset the device to z: and it still doesn't work. What doesn't work - When I run backup and restore and click on backup, nothing happens. The only thing that works is the restore point function. Any ideas?

What do you mean "nothing happens"? As in nothing at all, you click backup and it just sits there? No error messages?
