Question Laptop - can i fix it?

Hi, i bought laptop from internet marketplace, but i got scammed, because i bought - Alienware 17 R4 - GTX 1080, i7 7820HK, 32GB RAM,
and i got only this ! Alienware 17 R4 - i7 6700HQ, GTX 1060, 16GB RAM...

yea my bad, but what now, laptop works good, but 60hz display is not good for games, 1 years back i got laptop with 240hz, and im now back on 60hz, its not good...

I have good fps in games like "rematch, or hunt showdown, i have stable 100FPS, but how i can overclock 60hz to 90-120hz?

I read every forum, and everybody says " i overclocked my alienware 17 R4 with "cru" software to 120Hz easy...

But when i overlock it to 80hz+ i got black screen or artefacts on screen, i can go only to 74hz max without problem.....

so how everybody can everbody overclock alienware 17 R4 to 120hz?

What is the SKU to your Alienware 14 R4? Look on the bottom of the laptop to identify it and pass on the SKU for us to see what you have to work with. You state, everybody, who are these everybody?

Pass on links for us to see what you've read through. I'm also going to assume that the laptop's panel can't do beyond 60Hz as the seller had changed it out to a generic panel or the model you got was the base model.

I wouldn't have invested on something like that in 2025, so yes I'm sure you could've found something better.

the seller wrote to me that he would refund me 188dollars back, and sent me money to my account.
so i accept it, final price of this laptop is 142 dollars, maybe its good price for this laptop.

You can see in the table that there's a SKU that came with a 120Hz display, you don't have that, which explains why you're at 60Hz.

Windows 10 will run aground on support towards the end of this year. I say this because officially you don't have Windows 11 support;
