On May 25th Microsoft installed Windows 10 on my older Dell XPS 1640 without my consent. The laptop was not certified by Dell for Windows 10 and the upgrade caused all sorts of problems.
As a result I've done a clean install of Windows 7. I've only installed Windows 7, updated all of the drivers from the Dell Support website, and Office along with all of the updates for Windows and Office. I'd like to make an image of my C: drive before installing any other software so that if there are any problems in the future I can just restore from the image without having to go through all the hastle of a full reinstall.
Am I better off using the built in Windows backup utility or installing Acronis True Image 2013 and using that?
Thanks in advance,
G
