Backup Skip some files

help....i have a windows 2000 domain controler and i want to backup
the server but every time i see the report i give me some skipped
files...

what are you using? if its veritas, i think you need to purchase the open file option. are you doing a system state backup?

about 90% of the files not being backed up you dont need to worry about. they probly would get backed up if you dont stay logged onto the server. the others have to do with dhcp, wins and dns. if you really want those log files to be backed up you will have to shutdown the service before the job starts.
