Bad cpu good graphics card

I have a bad computer i was thinking of upgrading my graphics card from gt 770 to gtx 1070 ti and 8 gb of ddr4 ram coz some good 60% of deals are currently on in my country but my cpu is pure trash its dual core 2.4 ghz so im wondering how much of a difficulty will that pose for modern games on lets say medium high graphics

overall not worth it in my opinion. The cpu bottleneck would be pretty bad on almost all major titles basically leaving you at almost the same performance your seeing now
