Bad DIMM slot or bad RAM?

I built this PC around 2 years ago now and today i woke up to my PC stuck in a boot loop. After doing 2 hours of RAM/MB troubleshooting it appears that DIMM slot 4 on the MB is faulty. At first it seemed to be a RAM issue, but after trying both sticks seperately in DIMM slot 1 the PC posted fine (to rule out if one of the sticks were faulty). However when both sticks are inserted in dual channel mode (DIMM 2 and DIMM 4) the PC goes into an infinite loop of restarting. I then tried each slot seperately with one stick to rule out the bad slot, but whenever any RAM stick was inserted into DIMM 4 the PC would refuse to post, resetting the BIOS didn´t help either, i then inserted each stick seperately and ran a memtest to check for any issues. Once the test was finished each stick reported back with no errors, after spending some time researching this problem I heard that bent pins could cause this issue so i checked the pins (all of them appeared to be straight) and reseated the CPU but the same problem still persisted. Both the RAM and MB are still under warranty and i just want to make sure that the MB is definitely the part at fault here before I RMA it.

SPECS
MB: MSI B85-G43 Gaming
RAM: 16gb G skill DDR3
CPU: I7-4790k
GPU: ASUS STRIX 1080 8GB
OS: Windows 10
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA G2 750w Gold certified

Any help would be very much appreciated.
ll and not the RAM.

1| How many passes did you subject the rams to rule them out? 10? If not, run them for at least 10 passes.
2| You should be working with a Z97 chipsetted board instead of a B85 board. In retrospect, you may want to see if your BIOS is up to date.
3| Got a link to the ram kit?

The board was RMA'D a while back and i bought a new Z97 MB from Newegg. When i installed the old RAM in the new MB the system posted on the first try, so it definitely was the MB after all. Thanks.
