It'll be fine they said. It's just the arm, they said. So, I recently built a computer, and after few days of use, I noticed that the hard drive was starting to get loud and it was vibrating. Since I'm 13 and don't have much control over financial stuff, I had my dad come and listen to it, and while I was pretty sure it wasn't supposed to be doing that, he said it was fine. Well, about 2 months later, Windows won't boot and the list of files required to boot that are missing just keeps growing. Huh, sure sounds like it's fine, right? Anyway, what are your bad hard/solid state drive stories?

Also, if anyone would know, is there any hard drive and SSD you recommend, because if we get a refund, and not an exchange, I would like to choose a different drive(s) totaling up to around 1.5 TB or more. I don't really care how big the SSD is, I would just put windows and a couple games on it unless it was big enough for more, but that's all I would need to put on it if I got it. My price range is about $70-80 total, but I will go above that a little bit.

Sorry if my explanation makes no sense, just ask if you don't understand what I mean. (P.S. I kept this a discussion because it doesn't really make much sense to make another thread for the question).

Get a Kingston V300 240gb sad to install windows on. SSDs are almost fault free especially the Kingston SSDs. For a hard drive I'd recommend either a 1tb seagate barracuda or a WD blue 1tb

Just the SSD is above my budget, I meant 70-80 total. I was just wondering if there where any deals right now or just a small 32 or 64GB one.

What about the Kingston v300 120gb? Also don't get a 32gb or a 64gb. That is far too small and to install windows on id say, a 90gb min but the v300 120gb is very good for the money and very cheap for 120gb and Kingston is very VERY reliable to make good stable SSDs.

That's still $50 above my budget.

Damn... Try looking for some 90gb SSDs at minimum. Also does the budget include the hard drive? Also you could keep the 120gb but just save up a little more to afford it. It's your choice.
