i have a netgear WNDR3300 router
and a 8mb/s cable internet thu Shentel

I'm trying to play Star Craft 2 but its basically unplayable with lag from my commands to there appropriate actions.

just wondering if there is anything i can do to improve this via my network.

have turned off the modem for about a minute?

do you get the same results when connecting directly to the modem?

after going though a few things i do believe it is my router, if i reset it i get great results . . . for about 5 mins >.<
currently looking for a solution to keeping a good latency on it as opposed to resting it ever match any suggestions?

you could try using the 3rd party firmware from DD-WRT. In some cases it will make the router run more solid.
