Bad perfomance with R9 390

Hi guys so when i play shadow of mordor I only get like 56 fps average while the benchmarks says that the lowest fps that its supposed to go to is 67 or something. Is there a problem with my graphic card or is it because of something else?

My setup is
i7-4790k
Msi R9 390 8gb
16 gb of ddr3 ram
Z-97 pc mate motherboard

It can depend on a lot of things. I'm assuming you're playing at 1440p resolution? Are you using the in game benchmark? What are you using as a reference for the fps you should be getting? What do you have running in the background? What are your GPU temps and speed while gaming? Is this the only game that doesn't seem to match the fps you feel you should be getting?

I run at 1080p and am using the in game fps counetr that is offered by steam. I dont have anything running in the background and my temps are usually pretty high ( in the 80 C)

80c is perfectly fine for that GPU. How about other games and their performance?
