I just built a pc with a gtx 950, 8gb ddr3, and an and fx 6300. I want to have 1 ssd and 1 hdd. My psu is 480 watts. I'm pretty sure that I am not exceeding the wattage limit.

When I try to use my ass AND my hdd it doesn't start. When I unplug the hdd, it starts fine. What is the problem here?

LOL oops meant to type "When I try to use my ssd AND my hdd it doesn't start.

My PSU just exploded so now I know what the problem was. I'm getting an 80+ bronze one now. I'm actually glad it exploded. If it didn't, I'd be stuck with it wondering what else could've been causing problems. My pc wasn't exceeding the maximum wattage, it's just that the capacitors were shitty or something and were about to explode.

Moral of the story: Don't buy shitty Power Supplies that come pre-installed in a case. Companies like Logisys intentionally put their worst (least sold) PSUs in their cases when they do combos like that.

I figured it was a typo but I couldn't resist

No, never use power supplies that come with cases. There are a very few exceptions from companies like Antec but they are indeed the exception and not the rule.
