Hello,
So lately when I have been playing Arma 3 I will be getting fantastic frames (80-90 single player) for about 30-45 minutes only to experience a drop to about 5 out of nowhere with no recovery forcing me to quit the game. At first I suspected thermal throttling, but my CPU only reaches a max temperature of 53C during stress tests, and my GPU sits at roughly 60C with fans at only 50%. I then launched the game without mods only to have the same issue. Could my power supply be causing the problem? It is pretty low quality (please don't scold me).
Components:
I5-4590
MSI GTX 970
16 GB Ram
1TB 7500 HD
MSI Z97 MB
PSU: EVGA 500 W1 80+, 500W
http://
I've been meaning to replace my power supply for a long while now due to the fact that I first purchased it for a barebones build, but I would first like to know for sure if it is what is causing the issue.
Many Thanks,
Thomas
