Bad Sanyo 5500?

Some have said that there was a bad batch of Sanyo 5500s.
How do you tell if one is bad? _Inside_ the phone
i.e. version or whatever, _not_ just dropped calls,
which could result from a variety of factors.

SprintPCS has a secret recall on these phones.

All the latest Sanyos seem to be problematic, as they get hot from
charging ro long calls which negatively affects the lectronics.

Putting words into other people's comments again Phillipe? Nowhere does it
say on the page you cite above, or on the specific phone's page -

that a secret recall is being made.
