Hello, PC expert.

I am deciding if I want to purchase this pre-built desktop from Newegg.

It is quite badly reviewed by other buyers, and it does smell quite fishy with 50% discount.

Most bad reviews I found are from bad air flow, case fans dying, and PSU failure.

What are your thoughts on this model? This looks very tempting to me price & spec wise.

It has too many bad reviews for it to be a coincidence, what is your budget? Have you ever thought about building your own PC?

If you wait a few days you should see the brand new Ryzen 9000 series available. If the pricing is as expected, it will be a decent deal compared to the 13700k/14700k.

I also agree that you should skip the Intel 13th and 14th gen, they've had too many issues recently, the Ryzen 9000 series release is imminent, and socket AM5 is supported until 2027 at least. I took Eximo's build and did some tweaks, a different cooler, different RAM, and i swapped out an RX 7900 XTX in place of a 4080 Super. The RTX 7900 XTX offers similar performance when not using ray tracing for less. Ot is not as fast with ray tracing though, ive attached an RX 7900 GRE review since it has all the cards referenced compared with one another.

Yeah, 7900XT or 7900XTX is a decent idea as well. Could also drop down to the RTX 4070 Ti Super which is a cut down 4080. (All great 1440p or 4K 60hz GPU)

I should note that the current price for a 7700X is 435 maple bucks, but the 9700X is likely to be more. I think it was rumored/listed early at 450 USD.

But the release of the new CPUs may see a drop in the price of Ryzen 7000 prebuilds.

Here is my take on a build:
