Hi everyone,

Wondering if anyone has had this situation before. PC specs as follows:

CPU: Ryzen 9 5950X
GPU: Nvidia 4080 FE
Motherboard: Asus Crosshair VIII Dark Hero
RAM: Corsair 64GB Dominator Platinum 3600MHz CL16
PSU: Corsair HX1000i
Storage: Samsung 990 Pro 2TB

I recently returned from vacation and I started to update my apps and run Windows updates when all of a sudden my PC would either lock up or hard crash with a yellow light over the DRAM indicator on the motherboard. I initially thought it was the RAM so I did the following:
  • Reseated the RAM,
  • Reseated the RAM in a different order
  • Ran a full Memtest (which lasted 8+ hours with a clean bill of health and the issue did not occur while this was happening).
I was due to replace my GPU with my RMA'd 4080 that I got back after another incident. Same issue kept happening.
I decided to do a fresh install of Windows. Everything was fine while I was installing my apps again until after I installed AquaSuite from AquaComputer. The same issue was happening again. I then recalled the issue started when I updated it at the start. I'm not 100% certain if AquaSuite is the reason but that is what my gut is telling me. I reverted back to a pre-AquaSuite Restore Point and installed everything else (with the exception of PC Manager) and the issue hasn't reproduced since. Like I said, I feel it's either AquaSuite or PC Manager which is causing the issue.

Considering the fact that Memtest ran a complete test fine without reproducing the issue and that it hasn't happened since I've refrained from installing AquaSuite or PC Manger, I feel this a very strange problem with the motherboard reporting a DRAM issue. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading and thanks in advance.

Aquasuites update is having problems talking with data cache transfers when it comes to newer components they haven't successfully added ryzen 9 series and certain newer 40xx nvidia series are having crash problems with the latest update I'd hold off on updating it till the next update launch that should be in about 2 weeks max to correct the issue
