So today i was playing far cry 4 when suddenly my pc froze, after restart green dots and lines appeared everywhere so i knew is a vram failuire , after looking up on the internet i saw this “baking” method and that u need to bake your gpu to 195C for 8 minutes, the problem is, my oven doesn’t have a temp setting so i don’t know exactly to what temp i preheat it, should i still go for it ? I got no warranty on the gpu

If you have no warranty on the card, then i imagine baking is the best option. But...there are several precautions to take when baking a gpu. Does your oven give any sort of temp feedback? Also, if you do bake your gpu, you probably will not want to use that oven for cooking food ever again. Cooking electronic components can release toxic fumes that can contaminate food that is later cooked in the said oven.

And do you know what this "baking" is supposed to fix?
Do you know what is wrong with the GPU?

(hint...'baking' does not fix malfunctioning vram)
