Hello,
I have the following trouble with baldurs gate 3

When i try to do a quick save in baldurs gate 3, it takes about 10 seconds of locked screen till it finishes saving, and then an extra 2 seconds of frozen screen time when the "Quicksave successful" message is displayed on screen.

Disabling steam cloud saves did not help, deleting most save game files did not help. The only thing that seems to help is if I do a fresh installation of windows and DO NOT install any of the windows updates, but lately even that seems to fail. I tried to Manage 3d settings of nvidia by changing texture filtering to both quality and performance and it did not help. Sometimes messing with certain game settings will make the quick save game times normal but after a computer reboot the trouble starts all over again, so so far every time i accidentally solved the problem it only reappeared after a pc reboot.

Other games do not have this problem

There are my specs:

What is more important: the time needed to save or the the actual "save" itself?

Consider that "Quick Save" may be relative - to what is TBD.

I have (full disclosure) no idea.

12 seconds (ignoring possible adjectives) of "save" time in order to protect and recover X amount of game play time - maybe hours.....

Just my thoughts on the matter.
