I generally like MS products. of course they have their flaws. But Ballmer is a "boob" and not worth the price of a slave wage Chinaman.

The guy is WAAAY overcompensated for what little, (really nothing) he contributes.

But then again that is a real problem in US companies today they insist on paying outrageous sums to the executives who in the end contribute nothing worthwhile collect a kings ransom and then depart a few years later for greener grass.

they are trying to be the fastest thing to market

And that's bitten them in the butt a few times too for trying to be the fastest on the Market to come out with something.

Xbox 360 rings a bell. It was rushed to market way too quickly and sufferd a slew of problems with cooling and bad soldering. It took MS 3 diff revisions "Jasper" to finally fix the 360's problems once and for all.

What's up with Win7 users turning into Apple douchebags 2.0? Makes some sense though considering a ton of Win7 design concepts and lack of customizing ability are right out of the Mac playbook.

[citation][nom]macewrox[/nom]Eh, I would enjoy something clever, like Windows Vista ME.It's loading screen is the blue screen of death.[/citation]
LOL!

Yeah, Windows 7 seems to work so I don't think I'll be using anything else for a long time...

My PC has the speed, now bring on the heavy duty OS to run on it, I have the resources, I want to use it..

If you are still running a crappy old PC,running on 512mb memory stick to XP nothing wrong with that!

bring on windows (*8*) or whatever it will be called, good job Microsoft, good Job!

Maybe Microsoft is up to something new and evolutionary, but the confusing that they are creating raises some question marks. And maybe Windows 8 will not come in 2012 so they are releasing an improved version of Windows 7.

[citation][nom]clonazepam[/nom]Well they have to call it something for now and 8 is more logical than 6.1.7850.0.winmain_win8m1.100922-1508_x86fre_client-enterprise_en-us. I'm cool with Win8 as the official name. I would hate for Microsoft to try to be like so many car manufacturers and come out with more and more ridiculous names year after year lol[/citation]

I actually have some inside info that is safe to spill because it got out a little earlier. They're considering dropping the word "Windows" in favor of something more suited to where they're heading (the whole metro overlays theme). I think they'll end up keeping it, but ultimately, we will have to wait and see.

I like Windows 7 and it was a major improvement on XP. It does reasonably well at keeping it simple but still allows power users to get under the hood. That said the main reason I upgraded was for the latest version of DirectX. Gamers will know the point I could make here.

Anyway, when all is said and done, Ballmer should definitely go, not an innovator and completely uninspiring. A thug that Bill probably looked up to because he was the opposite of himself.
