Can someone check out my bandwidth calculation below? I end up with 750 MBps for the bandwidth of the SATA-600 bus even though Scott Mueller gets 600 MBps in his book**. Is there something wrong in my calculation in that I should get 600 MBps? Thank you.
6000 MHz X 1 data cycle per clock = 6000 MTps X 1 bit width = 6000 mbps /8 bytes = 750 MBps
SATA-600
Bus Width (bits) Bus Speed (MHz) Data Cycles per Clock Bandwidth (MBps)
1 6000 1 600
