Base clock Overclocking for higher clock? FX 8350

I have topped my FX 8350 for heat at 4.7 Ghz with 1.475v and was wondering if I could take it higher by overlocking the base clock. I know it overclocks everything but how should I do this, or should I do this? I have an Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 BTW.

You're already overclocking the multiplier to 23.5 to reach 4.7ghz, I would not increase the 200mhz or you will create problems!

say your ram is 1866mhz you drop in down to 1600mhz then increase your fsb to 232-233 and then drop your ht-link and cpu-nb multipliers so they are about same as before you increased the fsb

233x20.5 is about 4.7ghz..

larger fsb/bclk can actually increase stability when done right and is something msi put alot of thought into for some of the z overclocking boards they make

So drop the NB/HT Link/Ram speed exactly as much as I boost the base clock?

I am stable for 3 and a half hours Prime95 (stopped the test, did not fail at 3.5hrs), and just to clarify, by "yeah" you mean drop the NB/HT Link/RAM by the amount that I up the base clock? And do I do that by mhz or percentage?

well if your ht-link was at 2600mhz you want it to be about the same by lowering the multiplier and the same for cpu-nb if it was 2400mhz you want it to be about the same
the reason for the specific fsb of 233 is so that your ram will be running at the appropriate speed
what i do is run cpu-nb and ht-link at the same speed by having them at the same multiplier ratio

233x11=2563mhz the extra 163mhz to cpu-nb is worth more than having the full 2600mhz for the ht-link

and you want your ram timing and voltage manually set to specification

the guide can explain a lot just don't go by the voltages or ram settings they use.. sorry if it is kinda hard to make since of what i said haha if i was there i could easily show you all of this. would take me like a week to write a fx overclocking guide that was fully coherent.

K bruh, I get what you mean, but have you done this with an AMD FX CPU? Because maybe it isn't a good idea on Intel, but on AMD FX vishera have you done anything with it before? I just want someone with experience, sure it maybe be general but Intel/AMD architecture is different and I know overclocking is different between the two.
