Question PC power supply ?

Hello everyone, I'm building a 3 pc fan exhaust system for my bedroom window when I'm soldering to get rid of the solder smoke. I'm using 3 coolsonic hc-010 argb 4 pin pwm pc fans and I'm trying to run them on my pc power supply only because I don't have a gaming computer.

I bought a molex 4 pin to 3 pc fan power adapter and an argb 5v 3 pin rgb sata power supply fan controller. I daisy chained them and the fans work great but I can't get the lights to light up. Can I just use a pc power supply to make the fans and lights work (I thought it was possible but I'm not sure now) also can someone give advice on a good power supply, fan hub (if I need it), and fans.

Do you have the ARGB connectors from the fans plugged into an ARGB case, motherboard or 3rd party controller? Because if you don't, not sure how you think you'll be getting power to the lighting. There should be two wires coming off each fan. Or three. Is there?

Yes there are 2 sets of wires, 12v for fans and the other wire 5v for argb lights. I have a sata 5v 3 pin argb controller cable and a 12v 4 pin fan controller with variable voltage control. Also I have a 12v molex 4 pin x3 fan splitter cable. Quick question, can I take the 12v molex 4 pin x3 splitter cable plug it into the psu then plug in x3 fans then take my sata 5v 3 pin argb controller cable plug it into the psu then plug it into to the 3 pin connector on the argb lights? My psu is the ONLY power I have. Can I run fans and lights with just psu for power?

So, if your ARGB controller isn't intended for use without a PC, then it's not going to work no matter what. Some are, some are not. Some like this one do not need to be connected to a PC in order to work as they have presets and are capable of independent control.

What is the model of the ARGB controller you have now?
