Basic Desktop Build with a few parts onhand...

Hi All,

I'm interested in building a basic desktop with a few components that I have on hand. General use is for internet, basic database work and running a few basic home-brewing applications. I want to keep the costs as low as possible while still having a decent machine for the hobby room.

I currently have:

Gigabyte Z87N wifi mobo
450W PS

Looking for a processor, ram, case and peripherals.
I also need an OS, probably windows 7.

Do you have any specific budget or just gonna see what we can come up with?
In addition, I would like to know the specific model for the motherboard and PSU you have on hand.
Lastly, what peripherals are you looking for? Keyboard and mouse? Monitor?

I'd like to keep the budget low, say under 400 total. This is more a lesson in budget building for a limited application (browsing, running excel, some basic programs and maybe some temp monitoring via USB of the brewery etc).

I don't have a CPU yet.
The PS is a Corsair CSM430.
I will need a monitor and keyboard/mouse combo - wireless if possible.

I don't think I will need a discrete GFX card but am open to suggestions.

What's the reason behind getting another wireless adapter? I'm just curious cuz your motherboard already has one built-in.
This is about as good as it can get with $400 on the Intel platform.
