Question Basic laptop, basic software no online storage?

I would like a new basic laptop so considering the

HP 15s-fq0004na Laptop​

comes with 365 personal which I’d rather not pay a subscription for
all I’ll be using it for is Word, basic programs and bit of web surfing
I store financial info on it too and DO NOT need or want cloud storage for this reason

please can someone point me in the right direction? My days of building PC’s from scratch are way behind..lol

You can remove 365 and not use OneDrive. In fact, you can replace "Office" altogether with LibreOffice and not miss a thing. It is free and well supported.

You can also choose to not store anything in the "cloud" (another name for someone else's computer).
