Batman Arkham City is not running!

Hello,
My Batman Arkham City is not running properly.
The game stopped after the scene in which joker threw batman out of the wall(the scene after being the catwoman for the first time)
There was only a black screen that tells me to right click or the game stop working. So when I clicked there was only a small loading icon in the corner, AND NOTHINg happened !!
I reinstalled it several times but it always has the same problem.
(Sorry I didn't installed it through steam, just took the setup file from my friend , in which it ran perfectly )

No, I didn't got a solution,
But I did got some clues which may not help the other people like me to get a solution . Sorry.

Buying the game first hand is the solution. Even if you paid your friend for the game DVD, the developers did not get the money from you. Most PC games have DRM. You can share games on consoles though. I just remembered this funny just made up ad from Sony at E3.
