"Batman Begins" question

I just rented the "Batman Begins" game for the PS2 and I have a question.
Early on, the game tells me to press my L3 button to enter stealth mode.
Problem is, my Dual Shock 2 controller does not have an L3 button. Mind you,
I rented the game and it did not come with an instruction booklet. I could
not find any helpful info at Gamefaqs. Can anyone help me out? I do also
have a dvd remote control unit for the PS2, also without an L3 button.

Click the left analog joystick.

Push down on the left analog stick, the click is the L3 button.
Under the right analog stick is the R3 button.

I think this is buried in the PS2 manual somewhere as well.

In DVD mode, these two buttons control subtitles/audio track.

You have both a L3 and R3 button on your controller. You press down on the
left analog stick for L3 and down on the right analog stick for the R3.
