Hello everyone,
Please refer to this link: https://postimg.org/image/4slj2gain/

As you can see, it is impossible for the battery to charge that fast. My guess is that it is displaying the 'hours until full' as minutes and is not displaying the 'minutes until full' at all.
I think so because when it charges sufficiently (upto about 75%), it just says "until fully charged". No estimate at all.

Things I've tried:
1. Re-installing the operating system with a disk that did not have this problem when used on another laptop.

2. Re-installing as both Legacy/UEFI

3. Running sfc /scannow in a command prompt (Does not show any errors with Windows files/"Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.")

4. Toggling the power icon to be shown in notification area (I didn't expect this to fix the issue, but I tried anyway)

None of these have fixed this problem and I have never seen anything like this! It does not affect the functionality of the system at all but I would still like to fix this.
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

Thanks!

Hi, apparently you're not the only one having this problem. There are some possible answers in these forums. Some people updated drivers and that helped. Others updated their BIOS and that helped.

Still, many others were unable to fix the problem and are blaming it on Windows itself, which may be what the problem is. Read through the messages.

Wow, thanks for the info. I had tried searching for this on Google but I hadn't found anything. I see a BIOS update on the manufacturer website so I'm going to try to update it. I just need to wait for the battery to charge upto 30% first because it doesn't let me update otherwise...

Thanks again!

EDIT: I updated the BIOS to v3.08 from v3.05. The issue is still present, unresolved.

Hi, sorry that it didn't fix the problem for you. It seems to be a difficult thing to do... to predict the battery charge with software. Maybe Microsoft will/can fix it, maybe not.

Maybe someone else can step in and help you better than myself. I really have no knowledge of the issue. I have a laptop but rarely use it. Good luck.

Funny thing is, on the same laptop and a different OS, the charging estimate works perfectly fine. It seems to be a Windows-only glitch.

Sorry for the late reply, I was busy. Anyway, I'm going through the procedure right now. I'll let you know when it's done and if it worked.

EDIT: Discharged the battery all the way down and now I've plugged it in. It's at 3% now and still says "2 minutes until full". So, the calibration didn't fix the issue.
