Battery won't charge more than 84%

I have a Hp 15-D005tu which I bought about 2 years back, the battery does not charge more than 84% I have tried the Hp diagnostics tool and it says my battery is "OK". I tried calibrating by letting the battery drain and recharging but now it stopped charging at 82%. Please help me with this issue.

try this:

shut pc down
remove battery
remove cable
press power button for ~15-20 sec
set battery back inside
boot up

what is happening with your battery is normal. laptop batteries lose their life and capacity with time. but i have an important question for you, how quickly does the battery drain under normal use? if it drains within 1 hour of normal use with light usage then your battery could be dying.

that means your battery is just fine, dont worry much about it. the solution given by birne is actually for discharging the laptop of static electricity. static electricity can degrade the performance of the battery sometimes. keep discharging the static electricity at least once each month.
