So I just built this system on 1/11/17. Everything went swimmingly. Installed OS, all drivers then anti virus(webroot), steam, origin and uplay.

Had a few steam games downloaded and then once BF1 was downloaded I launched it. It ran and booted to the intro mission. I then quit that mission and was on the main game screen. I played about 3 minutes of multiplayer and then decided I wanted to monitor fps. I exited game and then I went in through Geforce Experience and set the fps counter for bottom right and also set up streaming to youtube and then I attempted to boot through Geforce Experience.

As soon as the window came up, it was up for about 3 seconds then I got a "BAttlefield 1 has stopped working message. So thinking my attempt to boot through Geforce Experience was the problem I turned that off. Then I restarted my system.

I made sure geforce exp. was off again then booted and I got into another MP map. I exited the game again to run CPU, GPU temp monitoring. After attempting to start the game I got the same message after the window was up for 3 seconds "Battlefield 1 has stopped working."

Believing my issue to this time be the monitoring I restarted the sytem then exited all of those progarms and uninstalled them. Attempted to run battlefield again and "stopped running."

I have attempted to REPAIR through origin, I have UNINSTALLED and REINSTALLED twice. Still same message, the game won't boot.

I tried a System restore to the 11th, which was the first day this system was up. Still got the same error message, BF1 has stopped working.

I really don't want to do a fresh install of windows as all of my other games work properly and flawlessly though it wouldn't be that bad since I don't have a whole lot of stuff on the SSD. Then again I feel it may not solve my problem.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any solutions, please advise. I just find it weird that I was able to run the game and now I can't get it to boot at all.

Please Help!

i haven't come across this issue but maybe this forum is worth a read for you. i suggest going to the end of the thread where people start posting about how they got it to work.

https://forums.battlefield.com/en-us/discussion/38431/cant-play-crashes-on-startup-immediately-battlefield-1-has-stopped-working

also, what OS did you install? lots of people in that thread are complaining about MSI afterburner causing this issue. if you have it installed, id probably try closing that program first. MSI AB has given me all sorts of problems in the past

Dangus, thanks for your response. That link you sent is actually one I've been looking through.
I have considered downloading the older NVIDIA drivers. It seems that experience d Nvidia did download the new driver while I was trying to get the fps counter set up. After that it seemed to haev never started.

So I have the latest Nvidia drivers, what version should I revert to.

i would first try completely wiping the GPU drivers from your system and then doing a clean install. if that doesnt work, lets take a look at what programs you have running in the background when you try and start the game.

I'm not home ATM but as soon as I get home I will try that. What is the best way to go about uninstalling/deleting all my video drivers?? Just find Nvidia in my program files and delete all?? I also have software disc for nvidia drivers, should I install from that or download from internet after wiping my nvidia drivers?

I also have had MSI AB installed but when I mentioned that I uninstalled programs, that was one of them. So I not only didn't have MSI AB running, it was completely removed from my system so its not that.

I also just read that Sonic Suite 2 form Asus could cause this and my graphics card is an ASUS strix so I will check if I have this program is installed and/or running before reverting GPU drivers.

if all other programs/games run fine and computer doesnt crash or bluescreen on you, i'm going to put money on the problem being some sort of application conflicting with the game/gpu/driver

yea, no blue screen, I ran doom for 2 hours last night, Civ 6 just kept repeating the benchmark through Civ which is kind of like a stress test. No issues there, also ran BFBC2 and no issues.

It is definitely BF1, guess I will first attempt to disable all programs running the background first, if none of that is sucessful I will use the Driver removal method you've posted and if that doesn't work then I will come back here crying like a little baby.

Keeping my fingers crossed for the former!!

So I went home and disabled Nahimic 2. I'm still running msi afterburner 2 and gpu tweak 2 and Battlefield 1 booted and I played some MP.

At least for 5 minutes but that's all the time I have ATM. GPU tweak 2 does crash after exiting Battlefield 1 though.

I also have dx12 disabled but I haven't tried switching it back because I don't want to jinx myself.

id probably uninstall nahimic as well...not even sure what the benefits of that program are but it just sounds sketchy

there's no reason to run both MSI AB and GPU tweak together. pick one and uninstall the other. they both do the same thing

I actually only have GPU tweak 2. I only have the msi updater for my MSI mobo and I choose not to install afterburner, but I was confused with MSI Intel Extreme Tuning utility vs. afterburner. The Intel Utility came with my mobo drivers as well. Still having that and GPU tweak is fine.

I really only use gpu tweak to monitor, the strix card automatically unlocks to 2000mhz when needed. which is pretty sweet!

Anyways, Nahimic 2 is actually a pretty cool audio device equalizer but I uninstalled it. No issues so far
