Hello all, i have one question about bf3 fps. I have fx 6300, r9 270 (without x), 4gb ram 1333mhz. I play BF3 on ALL MEDIUM settings with AA x2 on 1440x900 resolution, vsync off, and in little bigger actions or scenes with more details my fps drops to 39-40. Dont have to say anything else, just to ask is that normal? I would expect that on ultra settings, but i think theres a problem when it happens on ALL MEDIUM. Can someone give me right solution or at least whats the problem if there exists any. Also i should say that my CPU is always around 60-65 usage, same as GPU.
Thanks

It says that around 3100-3200mb of ram is used?

You need 1600mhz RAM, and 4GB is pushing it, either add another 4GB not 2GB as your low mhz range or replace to 1600mhz 4gb or 8gb. But make sure your motherboard can support 1600mhz (google it). CPU and GPU are fine

I also thought it would be RAM, and i plan on buying another 4gb.. but somewhere someone said that RAM doesnt have any role in performance, and fps?
My MB is Gigabyte 970A-DS3P.

What CPU do you have? I'd say your RAM is restricting you as battlefield 3 and up is pretty heavy on RAM usage but for the graphics wise.... CPU could possibly be bottlenecking the GPU.

I had the following
Sapphire 7870XT
AMD FX4300

All other games worked fine, until you come up to badly optimised games, so when BF4 was release I noticed I was crashing could only play on low/med quality depending on the map. Finally I realised my CPU was bottlenecking my GPU. So I replaced to a FX8350 and it worked perfect!

So Google "does my (CPU name e.g FX4300) bottleneck my R9 270" but you do need more RAM 8gb is minimum for gaming now.

I said at first p[ost, fx 6300 r9 270. They do not bneck eachother.

i think there is something else going on. my kids are playing battlefield 3 on ultra at 1080p with an r9-270, 4gb of ram and a q6600 cpu. they have not seen any major fps/stuttering issues. if your system is having issues on medium settings at 1440 x 900 then something is wrong besides more ram needed. i have no idea what but my experience with the 270 is telling me that you should be getting better as is
