Although I hate warfare shooters, I'm impressed with how well optimized and easy the game is to run. At 1080p with everything maxed, my HD 6750 was pulling an average of 30FP, though this was in the beta. Even on lowest settings, the game looks great.

Downloaded last night at 12:05 from EA. I didn't want to, but whatever. Only now I realized that they removed battlefield commanders. That's what I get for not staying up on its development. This bites.

BTW, i7-930@3.8 with a GTX570@815Mhz with ultra settings I had to turn on vertical sync to get rid of the screen tearing, so I guess it was getting more then the 60 fps at 1920x1080. The game informs you that you are not running the recommended drivers when it starts. At least for the Nvidia drivers it did.

Anyone know how to get your current FPS?

Game is crashing on me during gameplay. Running Core i5-750, Win7-64bit, 8GB RAM, ATI 6850. I'm hoping the preview drivers will fix it.

It's the first thing I have to do tonight. NVidia beta drivers borked my BF2 install, however. Hope that is fixed, I still have a passing interest in BF2. Looking forward to trying out the jets.

In Beta, my Crossfired 5850's with my Phenom II 965@3800 was pulling an average ~45FPS at 1080 with all maxed settings, 4x AA. Sometimes, in 64 man games, I'd dip into the 20's. Actually, in 64 man games I'd average 35FPS or so, but always completely playable with very few hiccups.

Accuracy normally averages between 10%-20%, so that means with 4.2-8.4 billion shots there was 1.6 billion kills

Played for a few hours.

Non-tank vehicles are now worthless... I happily strolled through a meadow as a chopper gunner rained lead around me, but couldn't kill me. So much for attack choppers and blackhawks being something to fear... And why are the attack choppers so much more responsive than the scouts/light helos? Seems silly. The scouts will flip much more easily, but the attack chopper actually changes speed/direction much faster.

Jets only get their machine gun without perks. Right now, you basically fly around and look cool. If a blackhawk gunner can't hold his aim over me long enough, there's no way a jet will. The guns just don't do enough damage. Little birds suffer from the same issue. I've seen 2 kills from these 2 aircraft. A jet kamakazied a tank.

The maps are kinda lame too. They were definitely made for huge, 60 player games. On a 24-26 player game, they're WAY too big and you do a LOT more running than gunning.

I can't speak to gun balance, since I haven't unlocked enough of the weapons (or fought them) to give fair judgement.
