Hey guys,
I recently just bought battlefield 4 and I have been having performance issues. On test range in multiplayer I get 60fps on high but when I join a public game my fps goes down to 30-40 fps, at spawn if Im looking in the direction where nobody is I get 60 fps. I tried lowering my settings to low but fps in fights are still 35-45. I have tried uninstalling origins and battlefield 4 but no difference. If it means anything all my origin games get sent to the x86 folder instead of the 64 bit version, I have tried to change the folder location but it doesn't let me. I also get audio loops on loading screens when I'm joining a server. I have tried over clocking my GPU slightly but nothing changes, I can play most games at high settings with 60 fps so I don't know why its lagging. If there are any bottlenecks in my system then tell me although I cant see what. Please help!

Solution
Try this!
1. Make sure EVERYTHING is up-to-date (e.g. Windows, Origin, drivers).
2. Defragment your hard drive.
3. Open Cmd as an Administrator and type sfc/scannow.
4. Make sure that your computer components are installed properly (e.g. graphics card wire is missing).
5. Scan your PC for viruses.
6. Wait for EA to get off their ass and fix everything!

If you don't know how to do some of these, I'm sure Google will help you out 😛
Goodluck mate
I don't think their system test is up to par with how much this game really requires to run. Id go with cutsom set it all too high or ultra and just turn a few of the higher performance crushing setting down to medium.

Solution
What about the CPU usage?

Maybe, this is the case:
After joining a public game and you start to play, sorry, fight, the CPU usage shoots up to 100%. This could explain the drop in frame rate even at low settnings (GPU usage low?).

Haha that's good! None of the other things worked? :??:

Oh ok mate, sorry they didn't work out for you. I'll post back here if I get any other ideas :)

Single channel low speed memory could have somthing to do with it. It cuts the memory bandwith in half vs 2x4 gig

If you have a friend that has a pc with 2x4 gig. you can loan his ram and try it in your pc and test if there is any difference in performance.
