Battlefield 4 Mantle VSync issues

Hey guys,
I want to play BF4 with mantle because it gives a huge performance boost. My fps are at 80 to 120 most of the time when playing with mantle, but here's the flipside of the coin:
If I activate Vsync and Mantle at the same time, my fps drop extremely. They are at 30fps most of the time, although i get over 80fps at the same situations without Vsync.
But playing without Vsync is a no-go for me. It doesn't feel smooth without and there is lots of tearing. Already tried limiting the FPS to 59, 59.94, or 60. It didn't help at all, actually made the tearing a lot worse. What can I do to get steady 60fps while playing with Mantle AND Vsync? :/
My specs:
- Sapphire R9 390 Nitro
- Intel Core i5 3450
- 6GB RAM
- 480GB SSD

Try without mantle ^- , if you "cripple" your FPS with Vsync, why would you need the "extra" performance from mantle?

Because I am getting framedrops with DX11 on Siege of Shanghai while I'm getting decent fps with mantle on that map :/

Open the command box and type ''Renderdevice.TripleBufferingEnable 0'' whilst having V-Sync with mantle enabled. See if the drops still occur. Also try to switch between borderless and fullscreen to see if there is a change.

Renderdevice.TripleBufferingEnable 0 doesn't work, it is an unknown command. Using Borderless with Mantle+Vsync fixes the tearing, but the framerate is unlocked although Vsync is on. No matter whether I am locking it or let it stay unlocked, there is some stuttering - without fps drops.

Seige of shanghi is a very cpu intensive map. Alot of the frame dips on that map are based upon the cpu not the gpu. How does it act with mantle off and gsync enabled? I notmally use just adaptive vsync but I think thats a nvidia thing im not sure if amd has that. Ehat does msi afyerburner say your temps and usage is at? Could you post a screen shot?

Most certainly you typed it wrong. I've used this command multiple times since Battlefield 4 was released.

Well, that's what I thought too , but i typed it several times, even while looking at the command with my smartphone.
And usually when I'm typing a command, the console shows all commands that contai what I have already typed. But already when typing "render", I can't see that command. It also isn't included in the help list :/
Copying the command into the user.cfg and then starting the game also didn't work.

That's weird that, something is going wrong there, especially because there are supposed to be over 20 with ''render''.

As far as I know, what AMD Mantle does is it bypasses the cpu for some stuff, thus reducing its workload. Your cpu looks quite powerful. What fps do you get without Mantle?

Somehow tomshardware doesn't let me login with my other account when using the mobile phone.. (I'm Mangaheld)
However, I definitely get less fps without Mantle. When I'm playing on Siege of Shanghai, the fps drop to the 40s with directx while they stay well above the 60fps mark when using mantle.
