Hi everyone, Yesterday I decided to open my old laptop (which has a lot of pictures and personal files) and back up and move everything to a new drive, turned it on, except it was very slow everything was fine, I started backing up some files and then at some point I went to sleep and turned it off and told myself That I will continue tomorrow. Today I tried to turn it on and I get the bcd/boot error..
e09e59a2-4a13-4c39-838e-f0b34e52b37c

so I tried this:
Bootrec /fixmbr
Bootrec /fixboot
Bootrec /rebuildbcd
Everything fine but the problem when I comment the rebuildbcd command, I got this -
Scanning all disks for Windows installations
Please wait, since this may take a while...
Successfully scanned Windows installations.
Total identified Windows installations: 0

Zero identified...
I tried to burn windows 8.1 iso on the disk onkey and do repair to windows files - same issue...
yet I didn’t try chkdsk command.. but I wonder if it’s can help?
I would be so much happy if anyone can help me in anyway... I have there so much important pictures and files :(
Thank you!

If you can get a Windows media to boot, you could possibly use notepad to save your files. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...nt-start/862c143f-9239-4e63-8968-635e8ba9efd6 You can also remove the hdd from the laptop, and plug it in to another PC using partition software such as Partition Master and see if there is a partition that needs to be repaired and/or try software data recovery https://www.easeus.com/storage-media-recovery/recover-data-from-a-hard-drive-that-wont-boot.html. I am not pushing these particular software products, I am only mentioning/ showing them as an example.

try disconnecting new drive, it could be messing with your old boot drive
Tried... same issue

First, as kerberos_29 said, make sure you remove any external drives before you try to boot.

If your PC does not boot, follow the instructions in this link. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...ations-0/52359f87-de4a-41dc-b0c3-cc275e1d9fbf
Now I supposed to try the link you sent me, and there is a new problem.
when I'm trying to boot Windows 8.1 installation I can see windows logo reloading for 10 seconds and then after there is a black screen and its stuck... I tried to burn again the same win8.1 iso and same issue.
btw this iso worked yesterday. any advice?
thank you.

Burn ubuntu to a flash drive and boot that up before you start destroying the drive with the pictures.
You can use ubuntu to copy off any files that are still ok and even run some diagnostic and or repair software.
I tried now and I got error - volume not mounted when I’m trying to access the drive with pictures in Ubuntu..
