I purchased a BE6 and a couple of Fujitsu UATA66 drives. I would like to
use NT 4.0 as the operating system but NT can not detect the UATA66 drive
when using the IDE3 slot.

I can make it work if I use IDE1. NT recognizes the drive and installs.

Any hints?

Thank you in advance.

Windows NT4 doesn't support the HPT366 natively, you need to load
supplemental drivers during initial NT setup by pressing the appropriate key
when prompted (it's S IIRC) and then loading up the NT4 HPT366 drivers from
a floppy disk.

Once done, you'll be able to read/write to and load Windows on drives
connected to your UDMA66 controller.

No Jim, that's on Windows 2000 and XP. On NT it's just S. 🙂
