[SOLVED] Bearing on case fan

Hi everyone! I've had my new PC for almost 2 months now and one of the front case fans makes a little grinding noise. I've been told by someone who builds computers for a living it's just the ball bearing on the fan and that it could still last for a long time and to just buy a new fan once it dies. Is that the correct information? Is it okay to leave my fan as it is for now?

Solution
new new or second hand new? Prebuilt or self built?

Prebuilt, get on the phone, they'll probably send you a fan in the post, argue for a couple 😉
Self built, get on to your reseller, and msg the fan supplier, they'll probably send you some.

It'll cost them pennies but it'll make you feel better, do it now, not when it fails.

Pre built so ill have to get around to calling them I guess. It's not something that requires immediate attention right? Just something I should address sooner than later? Thanks for your help!

address it soon in terms of getting in touch, it failing after a few months will yield an easier result than talking to them in 6 months time. Actually doing the swap not time sensitive, just try and do it before it stops mid summer in the middle of gaming session.

Thank you!
