Hi there, experts.

I just got myself a gigabyte board (GA-K8NS Ultra-939 P)
and a A64 3000+. I put it in my case yesterday and everything went fine until after I installed Windows and opened the case back up to put in a wireless card.

On the next reboot, my system (after detecting hds) started beeping in very, very short beeps, continously, but it would still go ahead and boot into windows while frantically beeping.

In the manual it says continuous short beeps indicate a power problem, but I checked everything and couldnt find a thing.

Can you help?
Thank you for trying.

Could it be that it has to do with my fans and the PC Health section in the bios?

Just read that in some random post...
Thanks

It was the misconnected fan that made it beep. Everything running stable on a Antec True 430.

Happy, happy, happy.
So, now how do I make use of a 64 bit system?

Got linux?
Really, you are making use of a 64 bit system. Sure, you are using 32 bit mode, but the nice thing about the A64s is they do bothe so well.
Win64 is available as a beta, but, it is an old version, without proper drivers etc.
