Beginner questions. Building 800$-1000$ system

Hello guys, I'm looking into building my first pc. i just have a couple questions.
a little info before i ask my questions.
I'm going to be gaming a lot. i would like to be able to play any games without any problems.
I'm going to be streaming and download a lot also.

now for the questions.
intel i5 vs i7
is there a really big difference between them? is it worth it in the long run upgrading it to a i7?

with 4th of july coming up, do you think there will be really good sales on parts?

lastly, what are the most important parts?

All the parts are important! And a few people around here will push the power supply as something you should concentrate on second-most.

no i haven't looked over your system builders marathon. where can i find that?

For gaming, the graphics card is the most important component.

Few games can use more than 2-3 cores, so I5 is more than enough.

No, new parts will stay at the same price levels. On the used market perhaps not.
