Hey all,
First time doing this sort of thing. I've looked everywhere and can't find any solutions that are working.

Never experienced this problem, but also never had a pc this high end.

See my benchmark below
https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/50951766

I had a few background applications open but nothing that should be making it this bad.

The drops in performance happened totally out of the blue and I can't think of anything that could be triggering it.
:/
Any help appreciated!

Your CPU settings are not optimized in BIOS, most probably that boost is not enabled or is terribly throttling.
This is my example of reasonably set Ryzen 3700x

I would start by checking...
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
Base clock 3.6 GHz, turbo 0.95 GHz (avg)
Not too familiar with Ryzen, but the above would be from either thermal or power throttling.
Check temperatures via hwinfo: Cpu Tctl/Tdie.
Be sure the cpu EPS cable is fully inserted in the slot.
Have adequate airflow over the motherboard VRM.
Clean the PC out if it's been collecting dust for a while.

C drive is a bit too full.

Slow ram for a Ryzen system.

The more immediate concern is the cpu though.

I would start by checking BIOS version and update to latest compatible version if needed. If you are not comfortable with manual BIOS settings, I 'd recommend using Ryzen Master program and try with Auto OC,
In Windows, update Chipset drivers and enable High performance in Control panel > Power options.
