Benq recently announced a new series of full hd 16:9 monitors in 1920x1080 native resolution. Here is a nice article about these monitors which come in 22" and 24".

Meh,

I still prefer 1920 x 1200; beside not all movies are filmed at 16:9 aspect ratio so there will still be black bars for many movies.
