Hi,

I've recently purchased a BenQ GL2450 monitor.

For some reason I'm not hearing any audio from not only the inbuilt speakers but can't hear any audio from external speakers or headphones.

I've read the BenQ FAQ regarding audio and am still not having any luck.

Any idea as to what the problem could be?

Solution
Have you connected via HDMI or DVI ??? If you are using DVI, Make sure you connect a 3.5mm audio cable from your PC to monitor in order to get sound. This is because DVI only transmits display and doesn't carry any audio signals.

hope this helps!

Solution
I was connecting via HDMI and also trying to connect via VGA. I realized a few minutes after I posted that I needed a a 3.5mm cable from my PC to my monitor. I also didn't get any sound when trying to connect my PS3 via HDMI. But, sorted the problem out. It seems that the HDMI lead wasn't in securely.

Anyway, thanks for your help. It's much appreciated.
