Hello,
I have a BenQ G2420HDB that very often starts flickering and goes completely black.
If I adjust the DVI connector on the monitor I can get it to work again, but it is a pain since it happens very often (several times per 10 minutes). I have already ruled out my GFX card and cables to be the problem since they have been switched out to new ones. I believe that the DVI connector on the monitor is somehow loose. I can't test the VGA slot since my GFX card isn't compatible.
If anyone have any tips on how to fix this issue then please tell me.
Thanks in advance.

Hi, thank you for the tip. As it happens my VGA slot was indeed working fine when I tried it with my brother's computer. No flickering or anything. However, when I used the VGA the image quality was absolutely horrendous, it was blurry and generally looked like sh*t. I did suspect that something along these lines would happens, but not to this extent.
I think I might buy a VGA-DVI adapter soon as a temporary solution. Nevertheless I want a more permanent solution, because I still feel that the G2420HDB is a good monitor despite this problem.

Thanks in advance.

Hey Retalogy, You're welcome !

but if it's still under warranty you can bring the monitor to the shop.
If not under warranty, you might disassemble the monitor and re-solder the DVI-port.
It is probably a bad connection !

if you don't wanna do this soldering, then your temporary solution might be the permanent one !

Cheers, Louise
