Benq rl2240he picture is too yellow

Hi, I just bought Benq rl2240he and i find the picture is very yellow
i tried messing with color temp. but i can't get a decent color
i tried the blueish mode for color temp but i still think it's yellow
which picture mode should i choose? cause there's like a dozen of them, plus i would prefer if it is more blue.

Turn down color saturation in the Nvidia Control Panel, or fiddle with gamma/hue/color saturation in the monitor setting itself.
If there is one, 'cool' is the picture mode you should choose.

i'm amd not nvidia :\
and the only modes are blueish and redish and normal and all of them are yellow 🙁

Last year I upgraded my Samsung display to a BenQ and found the default colors awful in my new monitor. I tried to mess around with the settings and even ran a few calibration programs but I was never satisfied. However, what I eventually did was use one of the built in profiles in the monitor. I went to Picture Mode and just selected the sRGB profile. It gave me the best looking display and I'm satisfied.

If everything is looking yellow... perhaps you have a defective monitor?

Is it via analog VGA (or DVI-I), or digital (DVI-D, HDMI, DisplayPort)? It makes a difference.

it's a dvi-d ! but why does it make a difference

what is a defective monitor ?

yes stuff change .. the sharpen and the gamma .. some of them are less yellow than others

The difference is simple. If analog, and the blue signal is degraded or missing, you are left with red & green. What happens class when you combine red & green light?

Are you absolutely certain it's DVI-D (analog pins not present at all)?

Ignore the DVI-A, I have yet to run across one of those.

DVI-D = DVI Dual Link.
Provides a much higher bandwidth, and either it or Displayport is required to run a 144hz refresh rate, although in this case that does not matter.

Incorrect.

DVI-D = Digital Only (Single Link or Dual Link)

Could also be a bad DVI cable where the digital blue signal is flakey.
