Question Benq Xl2411 144hz..

Hi guy
I just got a benq xl2411, I connect it to my laptop through HDMI but it can't reach to 144hz, only 60hz. I searched and found that this monitor only support 144hz through DVI-D, and I would need a active adapter converter to get 144hz.
My laptop is MSI GL 63 8SC, and it has HDMI and mini DP. So I wonder if a active mini DP to DVI-D or HDMI to DVI-D can would?

Hdmi to Dvi-D are single link only. Those that say dual link are fake, as explained in the above link.

DP to Dvi-D dual link active adapter can work if you find a proper one. The suggested cable for this in the above link i don't think is available anymore, it doesn't link me to it. Might prove difficult to find.

Maybe better off with new monitor?
