Bent cpu socket pins/ accidentally left plastic on water cooling block.. pc won’t post now

I built my first pc and when I went to turn it on it didn’t post. After restarting it a few time I realized I left the plastic cover on my waterblock but even the it still wouldn’t post. I talked to a friend who tried to fix it when he noticed a pin on the socket was bent, it was only a ground but we figured that caused it even though no error lights come on... can somebody give me some ideas here? I really cannot afford to replace both cpu and motherboard especially if I don’t know what is actually wrong.

"only a ground" ?? Most of the times it's just as important as any other pin. Did you straighten it ?
