I am looking to buy a new Asus monitor for my gaming PC, and have a budget of around $450 or less. Any recommendations, on which Asus monitor is the best choice in that price range?

I am currently using a EVGA GTX 1070, but will be upgrading to either a EVGA RTX 3070 or AMD RX 6800 once I can find one that is in stock.

Looking at either 1440p or 4k, depending on what is the best choice for my price range. From reading reviews, perhaps the 1440p is the more realistic choice in my price range. Going with Asus, because I have had good experience with them in the past.

Thanks for the help

Ah cool you're in NYC. I was born and raised in Queens (still work there) but I live in southern NJ. I bought myself an AOC 34" ultrawide from MC a few months ago and I love it. I think that TUF that you linked is great for the price.

Having a 34" UW I would not go with a smaller monitor but that is my preference due to racing/flight sims. If you play shooters the 31.5-32" should be perfect
ASUS ROG Strix XG32VQ if you can find it in stock, if not there are a few options in the TUF line on newegg 450 or less ranging from 27-32"

The ROG Strix seems to be out of stock in my area, but the local Micro Center has a ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B 31.5" WQHD 165Hz HDMI DP FreeSync HDR Flicker Free Curved LED Gaming Monitor.

Would that be a good gaming monitor?

Microcenter has multiple versions of the TUF series monitors, along with a few other ASUS models in stock. I am also open to getting a monitor from Newegg, Best Buy or Amazon, depending on who has the best Asus monitor in my price range.

I actually live in the midwest, but I have been to New York and New Jersey, and both are nice states. My state happens to have a Micro Center as well.

For the monitor that I linked, do you happen to know if it is a 4k capable monitor?

The monitor I am replacing, is an old Asus VS248, which was a budget monitor at the time, and not a true gaming monitor.

I was also thinking of getting a Samsung HW-T550 sound bar for my PC, but I am not sure if that would be compatible for not.

That monitor is a 2k monitor, impossible to do anything 4k on it.

I would skip the soundbar as it needs HDMI (which would have to go to the motherboard or a sound card)

I would get something like a Logitech Z623 and a Creative soundblaster soundcard

I ended up getting the monitor I linked above, the

ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B 31.5" WQHD 165Hz HDMI DP FreeSync HDR Flicker Free Curved LED Gaming Monitor.
