My new rig will consists of an amd ryzen 2700x and a gtx 1070 ti or 1080 best monitor for 1440p gaming. i want at least 144 refresh rate

Im getting an nvidia gpu i need at least a gsync monitor

I would say under 300.

I know its a Freesync Monitor but it was the ONLY NEW(Not Refurbished) 1440p 144Hz Monitor on Newegg for $300 or less.

It was a great monitor when it came out about a year or so ago and is still a great choice.

Still a great monitor, little bigger then the cheaper one above, IPS screen so it has better color accuracy over the VA panel above.

The bottom monitor is the one I would get if I had to choose between the two options I gave.

Because the Freesync feature set it only a part of the monitor. He can still use the rest of the Variable Refresh Rate display and still get a great experience. Similar to Gsync, Freesync can be turned off in the AMD Driver if you have any issues with it in a game. So because he will be using an Nviia GPU he won't ever have the option to even turn Freesync on. That means that the monitor will just act as a 144Hz monitor without the rest of the Freesync features.

With only a $300 budget there aren't any Gysnc Monitors on the market cheap enough to hit that price. Cheapest ones usually go for $400+.
