Hello all,

What would you recommend as the best 240mm AiO cooler for a Corsair Carbide 300R? I would prefer not to mod the case. I have looked at the Swiftech H220-X but it seems that they are out of stock at this time. I would also preferably like to stay at the ~$120 or less range.

I will be using an MSI X99S SLI Plus as my mobo and Crucial Ballistix Sport (4x8GB) as my RAM. I am planning to moderately OC my i7-5930k to ~4-4.2 GHz. This will be my first liquid cooled system so simple yet effective is what I am hoping to achieve.

Edit: I am currently looking at both the Cooler Master Nepton 240M and the Corsair H100i GTX. They both seem to be relatively thin. Thoughts between these two or any other suggestions? The Cooler Master Seidon 240M also is very appealing since it is only 25mm thick and is much cheaper than the other two (89.99 with 20 MIR).

Thank you!

Hello -HH-, thank you for your reply!

According to this review, it seems that the Cooler Master Seidon 240M outperforms the Silverstone Tundra TD02:

Is frostytech a trustworthy review website? Also, do you believe I would have any issues installing either of these 240mm rads into my 300r? I was watching some videos online and the clearance was always extremely close. I would prefer not to mod the case if at all possible to make it work.

The Nepton 240M seems to be more expensive than the Seidon 240M. From what I was reading, the Nepton has thicker tubes, etc. Do you think the Nepton would have better performance? Is it worth the extra $40?

Thanks again!

How would an air cooler like the Phanteks PH-TC14PE fare against the Corsair H100i?

I've seen benchmarks that go either way.

If I were to go with the PH-TC14PE, do you suspect I would have issues with its size in my case? According to this site, I can have a CPU cooler up to 170mm:

http://www.corsair.com/en-us/carbide-series-300r-compact-pc-gaming-case

This site shows the PH-TC14PE to have dimensions of 159 x 140 x 171 mm (with Dual Fans):

Is the 171 mm the length with the fans and the 159 mm the height? I was reading online that some people had gotten it to fit with a 200R, which only has a 165mm clearance for the cooler. I am planning to use Crucial Ballistix RAM which is LP. Should I have any issues with it?
