Best AM3+ motherboard

I have a decent pc but want something to make the games I own run faster like dayz and stuff at the moment I have an asrock board with a amd Athlon x2

There is a sticky at the top of the new builds forum that provides a template of questions to answer for new build advice. Please fill this in and submit it. Up to around $700-$800, most likely people will suggest an AMD build around a FX-6300. Over that, you will begin to see faster Intel builds suggested.

i have the asus sabertooth 990fx r2.0 and its working like a beast and stays very cool and also a very easy bios upgrade, but you can also get the asus m5a99x pro its cheaper but top performance as well or if you have all the money you can go for asus crosshair, if asus is not your brand go for msi 990fx gd 80 v2 or gigabyte 990fx ud3 rev 4.0 or the ud7 one, cause your title says the best i just listed some of the best and of course it has the highest amd chipset and that is the 990

What CPU is it? Is it an Athlon X2 or an Athlon II X2? The latter is AM3, but the former is AM2.
